For those looking for vintage, antique furniture , take a drive to Viterbo along the Via Cassia ( yes, there is life beyond Olgiata) prices are half of those in Rome, thanks to the many cantine and magazzini stuffed with pieces from past generations …I have never bought things from ikea, the real gems were created 100 plus years ago.

Thank you for sharing Mary!! I’ve always wanted to go to antique furniture warehouses! Adding this to my list. I’ll need to organize with my driving partner to take me. 🚗

Hi Charlotte, firstly, enjoy Rome!!! It is such a fantastic city, especially in January. And you will have to let me know if you stop in any of these shops! Love your post. Xxxx
