1000% co-sign on Otherwise Bookshop, Laura Urbinati, and Le Tre Sarte!! Also, this came at a perfect time as I'm currently planning a trip back to Rome in September. 👀 I'm definitely adding these stores to my list!
I enjoy your Substack so much! I’ve never been to Italy but hope to make it happen one day. My dream is to combine a multi-day hike in the Dolomites with a long week of eating and shopping along the coast. I have saved so many places from your newsletters. Thank you for sharing all of these gems :)
I know everyone says Schostals is overhyped but I got 2 great pairs of cotton shorts (extremely easy for the heatwave we’re having) so I do still recommend - I also really liked atelier bomba which has great knitwear
Absolutely!! Although sometimes I do feel like it is the only sartoria-esk shop on visitors radar and there are so many others like atelier bomba as you mentioned! Thanks for sharing!
We’re staying in casa tre sarte when we head there on september. Thank you for putting this list together—so many gems!
Ahh that is so amazing! The interiors of the casa are sooo amazing! Enjoy your trip!

Thank you for reading Lee! I also too would love a week long in the Dolomites. I have never been but am dying to go!
