Where to Shop in Capri: The Island’s Best Boutiques
Embrace Capri’s luxurious lure with the island’s best local shopping.

Say what you want, but I don’t think Capri will ever be “over”.
I love Capri. And I think I love the island so much because it’s what I wake up to every morning—her rocky outline in the distance is what greets me as I make an espresso or before I close the shutters before bed. Her inviting allure follows me wherever I go in Naples. It’s one of the great paradoxes of Neapolitan life: suspended between luxury (the island) and daunting uncertainty (the two active volcanoes). And let’s face it—will the world ever stop loving her, too?
Though I do hear far too often from Italians and seasoned Italy travelers alike that Capri has nothing left to give us “locals”—just long lines for the funicular from Marina Grande to the main town, overpriced (and often burnt) cappuccinos that can set you back €25 a head in the main piazzetta, the daily rush of day-tripper tourists each day (sometimes 16,000) that makes the island feel less and less, let’s say, alluring. It is true.
Yes, in recent years, tourism has surged and it’s created serious problems. For example last year alone, the island’s infrastructure faced difficulties when the water supply faced shortage and all non-residents were banned from entering the island for 36 hours. It was a big “yikes…”
Despite these tourism complications and 100% recognizing them, I could never deny the natural, intoxicating beauty of the island. The turquoise waters, the morning shadows cast by I Faraglioni, the laid-back charm of Anacapri, the delicacy of torta caprese, or the seasonal nostalgia of a daily insalata caprese, the mystic uncertainty of island living we all chase after…
Summer is just about in full swing, and maybe you’re headed to Capri this season. The island is home to some of the world’s best high-end shopping, with designer stores lining Via Camerelle and Via Vittorio Emanuele, right in the heart of town.
But TBH, much of the inventory isn’t so different from what you’ll find anywhere else. Sure, Marni and Pucci have a few Capri-only exclusives, but if you’re looking to discover shops that truly reflect the spirit of the island (unique craftsmanship, its color, its vibrant soul), then skip the repeated offenders and head to these independent boutiques owned by the locals.
My favorite store in Capri, Farella, is a women's and Capri family-led bespoke textile studio focusing on the island’s ancient weaving techniques while partnering with sustainable Italian yarn producers. Everything is hand-made on the island, from wool sweaters to woven baskets and lightweight summer knits.
2. Grazia & Marica Vozza Capri
Twin sisters Grazia and Marica began their journey in artisanal jewelry in the late 1990s. Inspired by all elements on the island, their creations reflect a playful mix of color, bohemian flair, and earthly symbols like fish. Each piece tells a story rooted in an eternal summer spirit.
When in Capri, buy Capri sandals. There are a lot of "fish in the sea" when it comes to sandal shops (it’s like finding the best pizza Margherita in Naples), so go straight to the best in the business at Da Costanzo Capri. They’ve been hand-crafting the shoes since 1963.

This gem of a boutique is a three-in-one destination for home decor, resort clothing, and funky accessories. Inspired by the legacy of the Cerio family (artists and creative engineers of Capri) their vibrant silk prints, hand-painted plates, and uniquely colorful bags are a tribute to family’s generations of artistry and imagination.
Simona’s love for elevated simplicity and sophisticated looks led her to open her brand, Lagrua. She believes in artisanal craftsmanship and the importance of a perfect white button-down and stripe trouser that carries us through womanhood.
Founded by a Capri native, Y’am, is 100% Made in Italy and the products truly embody the essence of la dolce vita and island/Amalfi Coast vibes. The designs have a beachy, Amalfi feel to them (but I'm not talking about a dress with lemons printed on it), from kaftans to fishnet-style bags.

Sud Capri is the ultimate destination for swimwear, chic beach cover-ups, apero-style casual dresses, and incredible summer-time inspired accessories that truly bring the feeling of a Capri vacation to life.
Another family-owned and woman-run local Caprese shop is La Bagattella Capri, which sells incredible, crafted, and vibrant home decor pieces, ranging from pillow shams to ceramic plates and statues. How amazing are those fish pitchers?
Just two steps away from the main Piazzetta, Zoom Capri is a pop-up space that invites small Italian and international brands that want to launch a pop-up shop on the island. This is truly the place to really surprise, delight and discover interesting pieces and people.
The island’s ultimate niche perfume shop that creates scents inspired by the smells of the Mediterranean islands.
If ready-to-wear vacation apparel only had one store, it would be Laboratorio Capri. This sartorial shop hand-makes all items on the island, echoing a love for bold patterns, colors, and exotic shapes.
Xx,
Happy summer & happy bespoke shopping!
